The staff of Benchmark Association Services brings more than thirty years of management experience within the community association industry to our clients. We manage each community personally and professionally, and provide guidance to remain compliant with current legislative decisions that affect the governance of our communities.
As an Associa® Member Company, Benchmark utilizes a state-of-the-art computer system that enables our accounting staff, community managers, and support staff to perform their job functions and provide reporting to our boards that is unsurpassed.
Benchmark's community managers are all certified Nevada Community Association Managers (CAM’s). Supervisory CAM’s ensure that our Provisional CAM’s are on the path to success.
Benchmark promotes and encourages professional advancement to our staff, and as a leader in the industry, we are able to provide a full in-house educational program through Associa® University. As with all Associa® companies, Benchmark 's employee advancement is evaluated by including recognition of educational achievements.
Benchmark Association Services is a member of the Nevada Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI), the primary organization that supports and provides education for professionals in the community management industry. We are active in our local chapter, participate regularly in chapter events, educational seminars, and provide sponsorships for many programs and local chapter events.
 Carol M. Schecter, PCAM®, CMCA®, AMS™, CM - President and CEO
As President and Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Schecter is directly accountable for Benchmark Association Services operations that include two offices in Las Vegas. She is responsible for setting strategy and vision, building culture, leading the senior team, and allocating capital, and while working with Benchmark's CFO, devise financial measures appropriate to Benchmark's business of servicing its extensive portfolio of common-interest community associations.
Ms. Schecter’s career spans more than twenty (20) years in privately owned businesses as CEO, bringing significant leadership and executive management expertise to Benchmark concurrently with more than nineteen (19) years of specialized real estate, property management, developer and conversion projects, business model and start-up operations, training and development experience. Her own successful management company operated for more than nine (9) years until it was sold in 2004.
Ms. Schecter’s participation in the Community Associations Institute (CAI) includes past service as a member of the National Credentials Committee. She is a former President, Treasurer, and Chairperson of the Membership Committee for the Greater Miami Chapter of CAI, and is currently a member of the Education Committee and Programs Committee for the Nevada Chapter of CAI. Ms. Schecter has been a guest speaker on radio broadcasts that focus on the common-interest association industry, and has been featured in newspaper articles and magazine publications.
Ms. Schecter studied at Jersey City State College and New York University, and has continued her professional development by attending numerous higher-level business and financial courses from the American Management Association and other industry-wide established training institutes. Ms. Schecter is a licensed Real Estate Broker and Community Manager in Florida, and is a licensed Community Manager in Nevada. Ms. Schecter currently holds the Association Management Specialist (AMS™), Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®), and the highly coveted and prestigious Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) designations from CAI.
